We teach proper stroke mechanics and once a swimmer reaches proficiency in a particular stroke, USRPT is introduced for that stroke.
We have a 7-year-old using USRPT for all training, a 5-year-old using USRPT for backstroke, part of freestyle and only teaching stroke mechanics for breast and fly, and a 2-year-old getting acclimated to blowing bubbles and wearing a cap and goggles.
